It’s the kind of twatty, non mainstream, reddit-esque answer to give in a discussion about the best of the Batmen while others are saying “Bale”, “Keaton” etc

But he really should be recognised as one of the best to ever do it for his absolutely fantastic work as Batman, as Mark Hammill should be for his work as Joker over the many, many years.

The two of them together were absolutely iconic, in the Arkham series of video games and way back in the animated series that I used to watch when I was about 5 or so.

I feel surprisingly sad that I’ll never get to hear him in the role again, rubbish news to wake up to and read first thing.

What a legend.

Yeah same I grew up with him as Batman on Batman The Animated Series which is still my favoured of all the Batman iterations (Bale, Affleck, Keaton etc included).

He had such an iconic voice and he really did become Batman.

Man that show was so good.
