Court of Appeals has said the Government’s Rwanda plan is unlawful. At a time when my local hospital has one nurse on duty to cover 8 wards at night, they’re going to use public funds to appeal the decision.
The cost of sending each person to Rwanda has been calculated at £165,000. For that money we could house them and get migrants working under a Government scheme to provide essential workers in the agriculture and construction sectors.
If you come to Britain illegally, aren’t a genuine Asylum seeker and you come without a speciality, you’ll have to work hard for the UK, avoid unlawful behaviour and pay your taxes. Young men can be signed up to the military.
There will be changes when I’m in charge, you’ll all get £600 per month living wage for a start. Turbo-boost the economy, move the 40% tax threshold upto £65,000 per household and impose a mandatory DNA database to cut crime. Vote for me and start to enjoy life again.

It wasn’t even rejected because of cost, but because they concluded that Rwanda wasn’t safe to be sending people there.

You’re right that our road network, housing, hospitals, schools, jails, motorways and railways are bursting at the seams, so we need a huge infrastructure building scheme so that the country can cope with the exploding UK population (mostly due to native births). The scheme will generate jobs for UK residents obviously, but complimented by foreign workers.
The big problem, as you’ve rightly pointed out, is that the infrastructure of the UK has been neglected, that’s what the public should be angry about.
Funny the UN and Denmark think it is safe enough to send people to so they can process asylum.

Anyone who comes here illegally should be jailed and sent back for breaking the laws of the country; none of these illegal would ever die for this country, this is why I can’t stand this utopian or look how liberal I am ideals of people, it’s fanciful at best and damn dangerous in reality.
Infrastructure has been neglected since the 1970’s possibly longer than that. A scheme to improve that is desperately needed but we do not need migrant work force to facilitate that - infrastructure needs to be in place BEFORE you take in people.
Whilst I sympathise with wanting to come to the UK for a better life, the UK has it’s own problems that need addressing before taking on foreigners who are undocumented and we have no reliable idea of who we are letting in.

when birth rate is 1.6/1.7 per couple and only propped up by Muslim family’s that tend to have more kids. You are living in dream land mate. We are not having enough kids this is the first generation where 52% of women age 30 are childless. What you want is to import a permanent underclass of low skilled low wage workers that keeps wages down for everyone. Where are going to house these people? We have a shortage of housing and currently spending 3 billion a year keeping them in hotels and that set to go up. What about those looking for homes now? Not enough home means more renters the home which leads to high prices that coupled with already low wages means private rent takes up more of peoples wages. But yeah gdp line goes up equals good thing

The problem is, you don’t have a young native population, so who is going to build all this infrastructure?
People have been massively disincentivised to have kids.
So if you want young workers to prop up this economy, you either need a baby boom or immigration.
European nations are fucked partly because of this, and it’s a reason why the US continues to motor along as the premier economy in the world.
Aging populations, very little investment in infrastructure for them.
And then native population backlash at immigrants - also lack of integration from immigrant communities who keep to themselves.
Creating tensions and book burnings among other things.
People really need to get real and face up to the hard truths of immigration.
If you don’t want it, you have to go to your politicians and ask why they want immigrants for cheap labour who are ready to be exploited, and also why they make it so difficult for native citizens to buy a house, have kids to keep the economy going.
