I guess at the end of the day it’s all pointless content, there’s nothing necessary about any of it, it’s just articles about sports after all. If people find it interesting and want to read it, it has a point.

Nah not at all. There can be genuine football articles discussing for example an in depth analysis of a game, or what a new manager can bring to the club.
Then youve got stuff like Forlan played tennis with a horse and SAF was wanking in the corner.

If I’m not interested in that stuff you think is worthwhile, then for me it is pointless. It has no utility if I do not want to read it. If I want to read about Diego Forlán playing tennis, it isn’t a pointless article.
The notion of whether their output is pointless is 100% subjective. You can’t objectively say which articles are pointless, it’s pure opinion.
