Super Mik Arteta

Is that the equivalent of that Wenger smirk?

I wouldn’t say it’s as charming as that tbf.

Thank fuck he signed a new deal because he would be looking elsewhere already with so much money thrown around us.

Guy has us on top of the PL with the youngest squad in the league and backups like Holding, Lokonga, Nelson and Marquinhos.

Let’s not act like we haven’t done him a massive favour by not only giving him a platform to manage in the PL but also backed him with some pretty good money and given him ample patience and 100% backing despite awful league placings

One signing missed and Arsenal fans go full emo mode

We did, and that’s why he signed a new deal. I think he appreciated the fact Arsenal offered hin a deal during that run against Palace, Brighton and Southampton.

He probably also appreciates how the club backed him in that awful run in late 2020, which he somehow survived against all odds.

However, he’s no longer the same guy as he used to be at the start. His standing in the game is higher now, and if the money being thrown around us continues and sees Arsenal unable to compete with that, I wouldn’t be shocked if his head turns.
One too many teams around with deep pockets.

At some point one of them may just turn their attention to him as well and test his resolve by throwing everything he wants at him.

It’s not just that. It’s just clear evidence we’re never gonna be able to compete with the money teams going forward unless we find random gems in the amazon rainforest.

Both offers were very similar. They just offered more achievable addons.

This isn’t some David vs Goliath narrative.

There are other wingers out there. Time to buy one.

So who do we think pushed so much for Mudryk? Surely had to be Arteta?

You ain’t putting record bids in if the manager isn’t keen.

I can imagine his reaction when he learned the news today. Guy was making faces when asked about him yesterday. Must’ve thought it was in the bag.
Gotta give it to managers. I assume he’s totally focused on tomorrow but I would be livid with what happened with Mudryk.

Lel have you not seen how Chelsea conduct their business?

Arteta has been very vocal about the need to add and not wasting windows.

If nothing happens in January he probably won’t say it publicly but he’ll be absolutely fucking livid.

Watching the embargoed segment from his presser ahead of tomorrow’s game.

Can’t believe Auba and his exit still gets talked about in these. Happens often and it’s always such a needless mention. The guy played for 2 different clubs since and is on the way out again.
In this one you could see him already getting annoyed having to talk about it again.

Something that I have noticed is that every time it gets brought up, he highlights it wasn’t HIS decision alone. I know in the doc it was implied Arteta was the one insisting the exit. Considering the club reviewed it before it came out, they could have done a better job protecting Arteta there and not putting the Auba exit on him alone.

Anyway, fuck the media and fuck Auba.

I’d understand this coming up if we were shit and couldn’t score. But we’re top and the only team with more goals than us has a goal robot.

If we beat United next season that might well be the most satisfying win of the season.
