That’s true, and the defensive system we use, if we even have a system, is probably not suited to decent CB’s for other clubs that are used to playing in a well organised defence.
But we aren’t moving defenders on that have proved that they aren’t good enough, we’re persevering with them.
When your two best CB’s are an ageing Chelsea reject and Mustafi, it’s clear there is a lack of quality in that position, as well as a lack of competent defensive coaching.

Sokratis is the best actual defender we have at our club. Not made for how Arteta wants to play out of the back but the man can actually function in a back 4, unlike the rest of our CBs. Shame he never had a functioning midfield in front of him.
