Two more games before a break from PL football, shame (as always) there is international football otherwise we could have taken another trip to Dubai,

I think after the Martinelli injury there was clear lack of urgency. Knowing now that Saka also was taken off because he was ill, I can see why the players put the foot off the gas.
It was evident from Saliba and Gabriel trying to kill time passing it around at the back. Odegaard kept telling the players to keep going but not everyone was on the same page.
Usually Arteta is all over the team, micromanaging everything from the touchline. He strangely sat on the bench for almost the whole second half.

Him and Elneny are good for these type of games tbf.
They’ve actually looked decent in the limited time they played this season.
As long as their usage is this, just taking some load off key players and seeing out games, it’s alright.
You obviously don’t want to rely on them when you play City, Spurs, Villa or Man Utd later in the season.
We are in a weird spot currently because he’s our recognised defender on the bench.
