Pretty much every manager that works under ADL complains. Everyone knew Conte would do the same he’s a born winner.
And is he even wrong? Napoli are in a pretty bad state. People do not realize how awful they became last season.
If I recall correctly they won like 1 game from March onwards.
Completely agree. I’m surprised Conte took the job because you know they’re destined to clash and we’re seeing that already.
I think that is a clownish behaviour because he knew what he signed up for, and now he is damaging their already fucked transfer business.
Conte has a reputation as a coach that can bring in players. Instead of capitalising on it, he is giving players more reasons not to join Napoli. The players who were willing to join would think, “why the hell am I enticed to join Napoli when other players are refraining?”
The volatile nature of his employment is already evident in pre-season. Why would now a player wanna join Napoli when the coach’s future is not certain anymore?
Sometimes, you shouldn’t say what’s in your mind.
Just because he is correct doesn’t mean that what he is doing is not idiotic. It is only clever if he is aiming for that severance package.
Edu shouldn’t say whether Arsenal can comply with PSR or not. It keeps the door open to negotiate with Brentford for a loan. If Edu loudmouths and brags about not worrying about PSR, he loses the negotiating advantage for a lesser deal that could happen if he gets to use PSR to his advantage.
He knew what he signed up for. He knew who he was going to work for too. We’ve seen this shtick from him before and it’s just boring.
How do you know what he signed up for? Were you present at his discussions with ADL?
Fucking had to be a British station reporting this, obviously not understanding Italian and taking it all out of context.
I’ve read the interview in the language that Conte speaks and he wasn’t moaning at all, he was speaking the truth and telling how it is at Napoli.
It was after a draw with Modena in the first round of the coppa Italia and he’s saying there’s still a lot of work to be done and a lot of what happened last season had an effect on the team and he’s making his player’s work hard in training this season.
So nothing more and nothing less was said, ADL and Conte aren’t stupid they both know each other’s personalities and there’s no arguments between them.
Conte knows the players he wants and ADL is doing his best to give him what he wants .
I think people need to learn when you listen or watch a show when the interview has been translated, you have to take on board not everything is literally translated and the way an Italian will say something the English will hear the same thing but with different ears.
Lukaku on a 5yr deal
Everybody that’s commented after the English video is taking it as gospel that it’s true, just the media stirring it up and making fools of themselves.
Doesn’t matter it’s Serie A not the PL, no point picking certain words from one long post, I’m pointing out the ESPN video is bullshit
From an English pov that statement seems pretty standard. ‘Players don’t want to join because we’re not in Europe’ is a acceptable opinion that’s said plenty of times.
Seems like the basketball side of ESPN is creeping into the football side with the need to dramatise everything to make ‘content’
Maybe but Conte is still a whiny little shit.
Serie A up and away @SRCJJ @GC-Maniac , both Milan’s drawing last night, will Napoli take advantage playing the mortal enemy from Verona? I wouldn’t bet on it and Juventus playing tomorrow.
It doesn’t get more Serie than all of the 4 matches ended ina draw.
We’ll have another new winner this year ( not Juve please ) the rest are just farmer’s leagues
Lookman pulled a Koopmeiners and is not in the Atalanta squad because he wants to leave(interest from PSG and Saudi).
Honestly, I thought Atalanta could really be competitive this season after seeing how strong they were in the second haf of last season.
But between injuries, key players leaving and underwhelming incomings, they may actually struggle now. Gasperini must regret not leaving when he had options around June.
Gonna be the same with Bologna, it’s like the PL in that respect you get a few surprises challenging for the euro places.
I hate players that have like 1/2 good seasons then throw their toys out and want to leave. If you were so good then the club would come buy you anyway, just respect the club you’re at and the contract you signed.
Lookman in particular been a guy with promise but too erratic til he moved to Atalanta. Bounced round Everton, Leicester, RBL and Fulham without really producing fuck all, til he was 25 and in serie a.
Match fixing league has started…hurrah
Just seen the Napoli result. The fuck going on?
