It has not. It has added an extra layer of drama which I freaking enjoy
VAR highlighted the organization’s incompetence & referring impartiality, which we brushed off as a human error.
Mike Dean was exposed as someone who let his biases make the decision and VAR brought it out.
We are transitioning to a phase where these fucks can’t hide behind ‘human error’
Maybe VAR made it more interesting for you but it’s hell for those at games who don’t have the benefit of the commentary team explaining what’s being looked at.
Obviously a subjective view, but it used to take a second to check for a linesman’s flag before celebrating a goal with your mates knowing that no-one could take it away from you.
