Was a good defender in his playing days but has had an unspectacular managerial career so far so that’s why this is such a surprising interim appointment.

Literally never heard of him lol. Hopefully it’s a resounding failure.

I wonder if there weren’t many managers willing to take the job as an interim.
If I recall correctly, he was also brought in as interim at Lazio and Juve.
In fairness to him, he did do a decent job as an interim at Juve, they simply made the mistake of continuing with him beyond that.

Tudor

He is able to give a decent bounce short term but no way he can be a long or even a mid term solution.

It’s such a weird appointment though it’s not like he has form for doing anything particularly impressive.

And in the absence of any connection to Spurs I can’t see why they’ve gone for him.

I completely understood why Juventus hired him because of his connection and he’s previously managed in the league. This just doesn’t make sense and if anything puts them in danger of a real relegation battle if he doesn’t work quickly.

His most famous moment. As a player.

Kept Juve alive to go through the group and then they went on to reach the final (where he also started).

A very talented defender back in the days, who also played as a CDM, but also super injury prone which was the main reason he didn’t stay for longer at Juve and he also retired being only 30 (withouth playing much in the final couple of years).

So in other words he’s been failing upwards, not bad.

Igor Tudor goes from club to club, like his great great great great great great great great great great great great grandfather goes through wives.

Anyone seriously think they’re in a relegation battle?

I mean, it’s bad over there, but it’s not that bad surely.

How can a team finish in the Top 8 of the CL League Phase and get relegated?

You see their CL teams they drew? It’s probably as a good as it gets.

Because the PL is the best league in the world. Obvs.

They won’t get relegated because Wolves, Burnley, Leeds and West Ham are worse.

But if they finish just above the relegation places again it means that over the last couple of seasons, no other club has been worse than them.

We’ve seen teams better than this Spurs one get relegated before. Most famous example of that is Fiorentina in the 90s with a squad worthy of challenging for the title.

It can happen. I hope to God it does.
