they might as well just not be a club anymore, just don’t exist

Said it before, this is no longer a derby but just an exhibition game. A game to showcase our superiority and dominance.

These dopey cunts keep rolling out this champions of Europe line.

They won a trophy…. Fair enough, but it’s akin to bragging about winning the community shield or League Cup when the FA Cup is the daddy of domestic Cup trophies :rofl:

Or claiming to be the champions of England cause you won the championship. I know it’s all they have to fight back with, but it’s stupid lol

They didn’t play any decent team to get to the final and were then outplayed by the worst Man U side in the PL and scored with their only shot of the game.

The Europa League was just papering over the cracks of nearly getting relegated.

What they are also very very silent on too is this was the first season there were no CL quality teams dropping into that competition either. We could have won that blindfolded last season because there was no serious teams there, but were far too good to be in it. If we won it, it would be shouted from the rooftops ‘not good enough to be in the CL’ ‘no CL teams in there’ ‘tinpot trophy’.

They’ve just lost to us and PSG and in those couple of games, let in more goals than we have all this season in the PL and CL combined.

I read one of their forums last night and one comment stuck with me.

We are now firmly back in the shadow of Woolwich (lol) and Chelsea

Yeah they had their shot at titles with Poch, Kane, Son and Eriksen and they fucked it up.

They won’t get another era like that for decades if ever.

2019 is the sliding door moment.

What if they backed Poch after the CL final loss and we never turned so bad we had to sack Emery and no Arteta appointment.

Imagine if we still had Emery lol

For as long as I’ve watched the Prem and maybe football in general, Spuds have relied on one or two superstars to be in and around the top teams in the league.

The superstar in their team eventually leaves for greener pastures and they’ll reinvest the transfer money quite poorly by replacing them with a number of average and below average players. Going for quantity over quality.

At some point that formula runs out hence their current predicament where they have no superstars and a bunch of mid players managed by what is looking like a below mid coach.

Yeah, the way they spunked all the money from Bale on a a bunch of wankers.

They did it with Moderic and Kane.
