Werent they on 17 points at this stage last season too? Still think they will drop off as the season goes on, they play an open game and there’s some issues with quality and depth.
Top 4 seems realistic though, looking at the performances of everyone else below Us, City and Liverpool.
That headline is even more hilarious than I remembered. All the waxing lyrical about how Conte was such a genius that he was able to get them to grind out results and such. How’d that work out for them? No trophies, no CL, clown show central.
There is something really odd to me about the way English media speaks about Spurs. The hype around them explodes on the regular. Whether is was Redknapp, AvB, Tim Sherwood, Mourinho, Conte, etc.
Villa are having a really good moment but I don’t see nearly as much coverage or prognosticators saying that they’re on the up.
Loved this from a “Football Manager” Youtuber. He’s “gone on holiday” in-game for 100 years to see what FM did to various teams. Now considering he’s not a Gooner (I think he supports Posh) his reaction to where Spurs are in season 2123/24 is priceless. When he eventually spots it that is.
Who have they really played though? They’ve been able to play some pretty lousy teams right? I know you can only play who’s in front of you and all that but I’m still not convinced by some of their squad.
