With one of the best strikers in the world.

The Conte era has been a failure whether they eek out top four this season or not.

Whatever they gained by some extra CL revenue, they didn’t use it well and the opportunity cost of running with Conte for two years has been massive. Its basically two seasons of not building anything sustainable for the future while rivals like Arsenal and United progress plus a whole bunch of squad building decisions that will make the next man’s job harder.

on top of it their best players dont want to be there / might leave / are getting older and i dont see them being able to replace the likes of son and kane easily and Kulu aint even theirs and would not likely stay. Add to that their £1 billion debt they are on very shaky ground.

Hiring conta was never about building for the future tho he aint that type off manager. They got him in just like mourinho thinking they win something quick
But never happened.

An sure the next manager be the same hire a quick fix to try win some silverware.

Isn’t there an obligation to buy with Kulu? He’s quality. If there’s a chance bring him to the carpet.

not sure, i dont think so i dont even think spuds can afford the ā€˜obligation’ to buy him with the issues they have financially especially without CL. I dont think Kulu would wanna stay especially if we come in for him because he said he loves Arsenal. Player would get a say…i cant see him wanting to stay at spuds even if they decided to pay up.

Obligation if Spurs get Champions League football.
They’ll have an option if not.

I don’t see him staying personally. Winger market is franky dry as fuck and Kulu is one of the best young forwards around. I think there will be interest in him from better clubs than Spurs.

Conte looks a broken man on this press conference… Fuck Spurs

People often site Chelsea as the job of the poison chalice.
That title is more deserving of this one. No vision and no backing.
Levy is the most controlling but pointless owner to work for.

A chalice is a decorated goblet often broadly sought after or coveted.

Spurs job is more like a poisoned toilet bowl. You only go there if you really need to take a dump but you might end up pricking your ass.

He went from Pochettino to Mourinho to Nuno to Conte

No coherent appointment strategy. No proper transfer strategy either they’ve just signed loads of players and wasted so much money in the process.

Failed to replace any of their ā€œgolden generationā€ of players too. Dembele, Alderweirwld, Vertonghen, Walker, Lloris just some of the players who’ve never been replaced properly.

Nuno was the one where the jig was up. Never rated his Wolves work and sacked him as soon as he realised he couldn’t coast on him like he did with Pochettino.

The way they sacked Mourinho days before a final and the WhatsApp recording leak of Redknapp saying they did it so save money.

What’s the edge spuds have now to push for top 4 for now.
They owner won’t invest. The players have been and burnt today. The manager will go.
I can’t see top 4 this season being enough of a want for this group here.

Something to do with you being bang average mate.

This is the game I brought the old man to for his 70th.

Apart from against us it’s probably the first time I’ve watched a full spurs games in a few years. They are utter trash. They offered absolutely nothing going forward. Milan were terrible too. A really shite game of football.

Waiting for the train back and overheard a lot of angry sentiment and Conte out. One guy was going on about how Poch is the only one who can save them and get them where they need to be…not sure where that is for spurs mind.
