Of course their new ground is going to look fancier than ours, it’s been built 15 years or whatever later. Imbecilic point for anybody to even make in the first place.

I have to say, we built our stadium at the right time. We still managed to compete in the first few years because the league had less teams going for top 4, and Wenger was still adept at competing on a smaller budget.

Spurs, on the other hand, will have to be financially austere in a time of ridiculous competition for top 4. They are going to struggle. Pochettino can keep them relatively competitive but another season without trophies, and their top players wanting 200k/w and the ship starts to go off course.

Missing out on CL football will be a disaster for them.

But except for Eriksen and Kane I don’t think they have players who are interesting for better clubs anyway. The ones who were (Bale and Modric) already left. Alderweireld tried the Atletico stuff but that wasn’t a success either.

Agreed, technology has come on absurdly aswell in the last decade so the differences are going to be night and day. This also reflects in the price they’ve paid to build it.
