‘Prepare a bid’…isn’t this code for nothing is actually happening here? How many bids have we reportadly been preparing that never came to fruition? Obviously no one in a transfer department is literate enough to prepare the actual bid
I think preparing a bid means they’re searching under the sofa for a £1 coin, so they can put in a bid of 30m and £1.
Maybe they’re looking for Zaha on Ebay but can’t find him to bid on?

Ryan Fraser every bit the signing for a Europa League club, sadly that’s the uninspiring level our clubs at.
Kind of signing I could imagine a pre-Klopp Liverpool making.
Fee is likely to be reasonableish and if he’s not signing a deal for a few years I doubt he’s earning much. Probably no more than £30k if that. If it doesn’t work out and we had the actual will to sell him I think we’d make our money back if the wages aren’t silly. So if Emery can see a genuine use for him I’d have no problem with having him instead of Iwobi or Welbeck.

To play devil’s advocate though, some of the post Klopp signings in that category have been ballers. Mane and Van Dijk off the top off my head.
