Rodrygo

We will also still have a back-up left-sided defender and back-up keeper to buy/loan after those three. But, yes, even if we get Sesko and Rodrygo I still think we need more depth in attack to challenge on multiple fronts next season.

Jesus will likely be back sometime in September or October which would give us seven forwards plus Nwaneri. That seems like more than enough unless we’re selling Martinelli or Trossard.

If this is a genuine possibility then there is absolutely no doubt in my mind we should aggressively pursue this and try to get this done.

Jesus is a dud i dont think we will bother with him anymore even when fit. We will just wrap him up in bubble wrap and get any fee we can for him and bounce him.

Are these people considered reliable?

Btw, disappointed to hear that he’s so fixated on playing off the left.
That’s not why he’s struggled this season.

I don’t know, that’s where we need help and if he’s truly fixated on that (could be bullshit) then it will give us an advantage over clubs like City or PSG that might be interested but already have LWs he might not be able to displace.

HandOfOzil is one of those ITK accounts, they’re probably the most “reliable” left as far Arsenal specific ones go. Believe responsibly.

Rodra is the go-to guy for Madrid news via Relevo though so the fact they worked together on the story is promising.

Drop 100m on his head if need be. Him and sesko would transform that front line

It’s the same stuff “sources close to Rodrygo” fed to ESPN.
I don’t buy that excuse myself because he did just fine on the right in the past.

The ESPN report even elaborated how he could play off the left and still accommodate Mbappe and Vini which was hilarious.

Dude needs to wake up and smell the coffee. He’s been demoted to the supporting cast of the supporting cast. Grow a pair and leave.

Last I heard, Tommy & Jesus aren’t expected to return to action until the end of 2025.

7 forwards? Do you mean 7 attacking players?

Wide - Saka, Rodrygo, Martinelli, Trossard.
Attacking Midfielders - Odegaard, Merino, Nwaneri, Dowman.
Strikers - Havertz, Sesko and possibly Jesus if he stays past January.

I say we still need a back-up young striker.

Definitely needs to smell the coffee and leave. But I don’t think he’s wrong about wanting to play LW at his next destiation or that being his best position.

In the last four years, he has 21 goal contributions in 1830 minutes across all comps when playing LW for Real. He has been very productive there, just rarely gets to do it because Vini and Mbappe have that area of the pitch on lock down.

I wonder if waiting on Rodrygo’s availability is the reason we’re delaying the Sesko / Gyokeres decision.

Well this isn’t going to end well…if he wants to play LW and be assured of being a starter, it is a very easy decision to come to Arsenal. The more I look at Rodrygo, the more I think he is a LW version of Saka. He is the experienced forward we need and means we can sign Sesko, without the pressure being all on him in such an important season.

Please get this done Arsenal!

that’s a lot of $$$

80m Euros is £67.5m. 100m Euros is £84.5m. Anywhere between those two sums is very doing IMO.

If the amount we have to spend going around is true, him and Sesko is looking very likely

Top attacking players cost big money. If that’s what Real is truly asking for, we could probably negotiate and do a deal for a bit less.

Julian Alvarez went for something like 75m euro fixed going up to 95m. Marmoush was like 75m euro fixed going up to 80m euro. Cunha just sold for 62.5m pounds which is about 75m euro. Frankfurt want 100m euro for Ekitike. Kolo Muani sold for 95m euro.
