Stop it.
Yeah it’s a bit harsh, but in general his performances were not great there
It’s funny considering the fact he grew up in La Masia, an incredibly technical player, yet he really was made for the PL as cliché as that sounds
I don’t blame him for leaving though, just annoyed we didn’t push for him in 2014
Wouldn’t have even had to push. He was literally asking to come back.
We had first option clause didn’t we and didn’t exercise it once that was off the table Fabregas just joined the best option he could get.
Madness from Wenger. Can’t understand it to this day.
Yeah, I was so excited with the chance of Fabregas coming back. I really wanted it.
If we had just added him, we would have had the best attack in PL.
Cech - Bellerin, Per, Koscielny, Monreal - Ramsey, Cesc - Cazorla, Ozil, Walcott - Sanchez
I think we’d have needed to sell one of our top guys to make it work. Cazorla or Özil would have been my choice, but Wenger (or most fans) weren’t ready to make such a sacrifice.
I don’t think we needed to sell anyone at that point.
I think the presence of Wilshere & Ozil made it difficult for Wenger to add one more player who mostly played as an AM in his later Arsenal years.
In the end, Wilshere didn’t workout and we missed out on Fabregas.
We even had Arteta as well. Midfield was quite stacked at the time.
We should have still brought in Cesc
And that’s my point. We had too many midfielders and so selling one of the top guys was necessary. Wilshere and Ramsey weren’t leaving that’s for sure.
Oh I thought you meant from a financial POV
When he was fit he was unreal playing for us
Truly one of the last greats we had at Arsenal. Always played with passion and wanted to win.
Too bad he had to play with some utter scrubs upfront. Bendtner, Chamakh, Gervinho, for the love of everyone, what was that
What are those touches from Henry in that video. Perhaps a good thing he left when he left.
Ah the cunt bump
Before his move he was my favourite Arsenal player of the post invincibles era. Ridiculous player.
Just hated how injury prone he was. Also hated him for how he left but as time has gone on I understand it.
He pretty much confirmed what the fans have now come to realize about the club and owners.
To think we got him for a few mil thanks to his bad boy reputation
The greatest Emirates era player.
Most strikers would be happy with a You Tube compilation like that for their whole career but that was just one season.
I was in the North Bank for the goal he scored against Aston Villa and it showed his brilliance at getting a goal from a nowhere position.
Exactly.
He was an ambitious world class player but was surrounded by mediocrity and was fed up with being lied to constantly by the club so why would he stay?
What a goal.
Song was like Xavi that season lol
Didn’t Song get something like 17 assists from the #6 position that season. Ridiculous.
