Riyad Mahrez

no its robbie not claude

but robbie is not the source… he mentioned the source in his tweet

He is probably the highest quality player we can realistically buy this window.

Still, if you’d have told me ten years ago that we would have major problems trying to buy a Leicester City player, I would have called you a cunt.

They used the same source as the one which was labelled ‘shit source’ Le Buteur

Not convinced.

i dont think we will have any issue buying him. it all depends on our intent and dithering of arsene.

i think he himself is not sure yet and looking for few options otherwise if he was dead serious, he would have made a big bid at once and get this done… like what we did in Xhaka case.

But apparently we have been in contact with Xhaka and his representatives for a year….

You can just tell when this is the case with us. It was pretty obvious with Xhaka that there was already a deal in place before the window even opened and it was just waiting to be done. We’d probably already paid for half of him as soon as we went out of the CL and got that check.

Could this be a Mahrez replacement, or just squad strengthening for the CL Campaign ahead?

Impossible to guess, but it helps the media spin this even further now.

Watching the Leicester friendly now against Barca.

Hoping they get smashed 10-0, and Mahrez goes “fuck this shit”

david ornstein said there is interest from arsenal but no official talks as yet.

He didn’t, he said that if Arsenal are interested they should open talk soon.

really ? i was online from mobile and saw tweet of a guy with ornstein video… so may be you are right as i didnt watch the video myself.

Mahrez playing for Leicester against Barca. They are losing 3-0 at HT.

This is what i am saying these fuckers were saying how piss poor we are and they are the mighty champions etc…these fuckers have barely touched the ball this half and the only players that start regularly for barca in that team are Messi and Suarez. I know we have been raped by barca before but that is usually when we have been riddled with injuries and always to key players. When we are at decent strength we hold our own against them and even won against them once and we have won against bayern also. These leicester fans that are all gobbing off are going to have a rude awaking when they realise it is hard juggling multiple competitions and are not playing once a week.

It’s pre-season ffs…Hardly comparable to Champions League KO matches. If we put out the same team we did against the MLS All-Stars we wouldn’t be touching a ball either.

Looks like Musa is the one we want :wilshere:

Game on :santi2:. Leicester are gonna win the Champions League.

Then again, the team Barcelona put out there today is basically their version of the Arsenal team that played against the MLS All-Stars – Messi, Suarez and probably 9 backups. And Leicester pretty much went with their regulars. It’s back to 3-2 now, but Barcelona’s subs truly dominated them.

It is, as you say, pre-season. But Leicester City will probably be a mid-table club this year. What they did last year was wonderful and amazing, but it was just kind of a perfect storm for them. Everybody that should have been at the top failed. And now they have to play in the Champions League, which will make the domestic league more difficult because they just don’t have the squad. And they’ve already lost arguably their best player (it would be between Kante and Mahrez), which will probably make it tougher for their defense. I figure they’ll finish somewhere between 8th and 12th. Cinderella only loses one slipper.

I’m not doubting that they’re going to suffer this season, as I’m pretty sure they will, but simply saying that one shouldn’t be reading too much into pre-season as a lot of teams that don’t look up for it now will look completely different once the first minute of competitive football starts.

No, but watching them against PSG and Barcelona hasn’t inspired confidence. It will be interesting to see them Sunday against the new and Mourinho-ized Manchester United.
