I absolutely love his pass to Gyokeres for that goal.
What’s mostly important is that he realised he had to play it first time, otherwise the chance is gone. Executed it really well, didn’t overhit it, exactly in the right area, right curve.
Gyokeres had to do a lot afer it, but it was a really smart pass that opened the space for him.
Yeah, would be great if he could stay fit. For a guy of his profile, a CB/LB, he has absolutely incredible attacking insitincts. Always looks to hurt the opponent, whether with his movement, his runs, overlaps, the passes, his shooting also. Such a threat.

Salah was quiet. He adds something to us attacking wise.
Probably the first or second performance from Cala where I was impressed with both his offensive and defensive play. Levels above MLS (still love ya!), I hope he can stay fit for the season.
He is starting to show his quality. Hope he gets a run of games now.

Agree with all of the praise. Such a talented player.
He does worry me defensively, but who cares? We’ve conceded 1 goal in 4 games.
Hincapie might be waiting a while.
I see the beginnings of a team that can create devastating counter-attacks again.
It’ll be very useful on our travels this season.

I imagine he’ll likely share minutes with MLS in either/both the UCL fixture + that cup game against Port Vale.
Cala’s minutes will certainly have to be managed given his injury proneness.

Such an important player for us.
Saturday shows what he can do in regards to roaming around the pitch. A left back who, when we’re in possession, often ends up attacking on the right side of midfield.
Opponents cannot mark when we have players moving around like he does.
