Calafiori isn’t a defender. He doesn’t play like one imo. Definitely more of a midfielder, he’s very good on the ball too.
That said, if fit he must start ahead of MLS - who has been poor for weeks now.

To be fair he wasn’t getting much help from Madueke considering United were playing a high line.
MLS had to deal with Amad and Yoro coming at him.

At that time our team was already staying back and played very defensively.
That’s because Amad was on who is probably their best wingback.

MLS has been a better left back for us though. I’d like to see Calafiori get a run of games but he’s not living up to the expectations that I had for him. Think he’s a quality player.

He started many games for us just because of our injuries… Calafiori and Tomi.
Timber had to take care of RB/White’s position, and Kiwior had to take care of the CB position.
If we did not have that many injuries, MLS would be like Nwaneri.
I don’t think we have first choice full backs.

I can’t believe it tbh. If he can stay injury free he will be looked at as one of the best defenders in the league
He can’t defend as a full back so not sure how that will be the case.
He’s quality on the ball going forward and that’s what he will be acclaimed for if he stays fit.

I imagine it’s because of Calafiori plays then Lewis Skelly doesn’t. And since this is the internet, if you like one player you have to hate the other.

I know that you aren’t singling people out but Calafiori is one of my favourite players here. I just believe he’s much better than he’s shown so far.
