Can he swap? It happens with American sports teams where a guy is attached to a # and swaps with the player that had it.
Either way, looking forward to seeing this guy in action. Will he get any minutes against Liverpool in the friendly this week or a bit too soon?
We should not under any circumstances give another defender the no. 10 shirt. Once was enough.

Just seems a bit insensitive to do that when he is still at the club…with his injury there is a good chance he stays for the season.
Just get his permission… No big deal.
He should know his situation at the club.

He is totally surplus to requirements, if he needs a reason to be sad it should be that, not the shirt number he won’t get to wear anyway.
Yeah I suppose. Just feel sorry that it hasn’t worked out. Loved him when he first signed and seemed to have so much potential and was being talked about as a future captain. I suppose that’s football!
There is zero chance that Tierney will be here this season, so taking the number off him shouldn’t be a big deal.
Even if we are not able to sell him, we will loan him out.
Depends on his recovery I’d say. Can see him recovering here and move in January.

I looked at his games with Sociedad and he seems to have played last few games of the season.
He got injured in the Euros.

Arteta and the coaches will have sat Tierney down and set out the plan.
They know how serious the injury is and when he can reasonably expect to return to training.
Thereafter he’ll probably go out on loan in the Winter. If that is the plan, then I’m sure he’ll accept a shirt number change.
Let’s hope the injury isn’t serious and he actually recovers by the end of August.
I fear that it is a fairly bad one and will stop us moving him on before January.

Edu should find a way to terminate his contract and let him leave.
Tierney isn’t even a cheer leading figure like Elneny that got him a one year extension.
They may do that but not until Tierney’s fully recovered. We’re a classy club, see how we looked after Elneny.
Tierney will stay til the summer and he should do. Arsenal will take care of him after this annoying injury otherwise he would’ve been shipped out this summer.
No big deal, maybe a nice sub appearance to send him off before he leaves. Good character and was a decent player at the time but now not really up to it or fit enough.
Cala should get #3 if he wants, doubt tierney even cares.

Riccardo Calafiori is now in the USA ahead of completing his move to Arsenal and meeting his new team-mates.
The Italy international flew to the States on Sunday afternoon to join up with the Gunners squad on their pre-season tour.
The 22-year-old arrived in London on Saturday to have a medical ahead of his £42.3m switch from Bologna.
