Does any of the 2019 get in this team(even as a squad option)?
He’s not pictured but I’m thinking David Luiz could’ve been good as an emergency option?

Luiz should be there in addition to Tierney. Nobody in that top line gets near playing for Arsenal now, which seems more like the point than calling anyone a clown.
I remember Mustafi having a decent streak in his first few games, I was slightly optimistic. Then it all turned horrible shit. What a terrible defender.

I like Tierney, but he’s never been good enough to play in an elite side like the one we have now. For a club in 8th position trying to progress back into Europe and build towards the CL he’s great. But Arteta would always have upgraded him, and I think his career wouldn’t be in a hugely different place now.

You are right as a starter but I feel he would be a good squad player coming off the bench to defend the lead or starting in the cups. Tomiasyu isn’t any better for me and thats what he does

Except Tomiyasu is a good deal more versatile than Tierney, can do both flanks and centre half at a push.
And we may yet end up with Tierney having that role at Arsenal next season if the injury worries prevent him getting out on loan or permanently.
Tomiyasu is a better defender than Gierney with added versatility.

I actually think Luiz would be a good fit in this squad with his ball playing ability and tbh e fact he was actually a good defender when he was at his best.
A prime Luiz was good enough for title winning sides so he’d certainly be good enough for us now.
I love our CB dynamic but Luiz would certainly be third choice in the current system.

Looking at the whole 2019/20 squad it’s amazing to see how far we’ve come.
Only Xhaka, Saka and Martinelli would be regular starters. Smith-Rowe, Luiz, Nelson & Nketiah would get some minutes.
