Positive news, but I can already tell that this is going to drag on all through next week and likely into next weekend as well…
We’ll be lucky if he’s even in the squad for the opening match. I’m sure other clubs also have transfers drag on but we seem to always have them drag on.

It just feels this way because we focus on Arsenal more. Other fans on other team’s forums say the same thing. Same deal with selling players for shit fees.
We do seem to take a lot longer to wrap a deal up compared to other clubs. We’re making progress, just want this one over the line so we can move onto the next target!

Why do people get so antsy about a transfer? If he signs today or in a week it makes little difference at this point.
Quite clear this is close now I hope we’re moving focus to other targets.
Nice to have everyone in for the start of the league but that isn’t going to happen in a tournament year, there’s 6 weeks to go to sign players.

We singed this fucker about a month ago, time to move on.
I’m not saying that we haven’t got our transfer business done early in the past couple of seasons, and the Euros have clearly impacted our plans this summer. The point I’m making is that it seems to take an age to finalise a deal from the point there is a strong and confirmed link to a player.
