Reiss Nelson (Loan: Fulham)

Should look at Adama Traore as the blueprint.

(Not the build, but the hard work and perseverance.)

I’m starting to believe Arteta could do wonders with this guy. He has the “hardware”, the skill, the work rate, the pace
When Arteta installs the software, a football brain, in his head, he could become a monster.

Pace, movement and pressing looks really promising especially when we’re playing quick passes down his channel. We’ll have to see what he brings on the ball though.

His dribbling and ability to hold onto the ball under pressure is very good.

Just needs a bit more strength and he will be ‘top’ in the words of our legendary boss.

Arteta is definitely making these guys look more useful but when he was 1 v 1 down that channel, he never really fussed defenders, he put in some good crosses but that’s about it. Pepe feasted on those types of situations in France. Nelson is doing much better than under Emery tho that’s for sure.

Did well today, theres a reason he is starting over Pepe right now.

Yeah had a pretty decent performance today did Reiss.

Was good tbh

Same old shit with our youngsters. They look competent enough but zero end product. He worked hard tho which is probably what we need at this point because we are so devoid of just doing the basics.

An assist last game, and would have more if our experienced ST didn’t like doing the splits ever time he gets the ball.

God, the filth.

It was a horribly miskick shot

Doesn’t stop Pogba fanboys.

An assist is an assist.

Was great today.

Yep - rewarded Arteta’s persistence and confidence in the lad. Hopefully he kicks on.
