Reform set a ‘deadline’ for defectors. (If you believe they’ll stick to it).
Expect to see even more.

Is Jim White on the scene?
All we need is Fabrizio to say:
Rosindale to the Tories.
Here we go.
No, we don’t need him to say that at all.
One industry is enough for him.

Imagine supporting that party. Wall to wall evil grifters.
It seems odd that a thatcherite tribute act is seemingly viable electorally in the redwall areas, old industrial towns and some of the poorest parts of the UK ![]()
Just bring back all the architects of the Boriswave lol
When Thatcher was PM, Labour was still the party for the working class but since then it’s swapped over and the Tories, or Reform as they’re known, are seen more for the working class and Labour are seen more for the Liberal elite.
What an own goal lol
Don’t think we’re going to have to worry too much about Reform at the next election lol
She was so obviously the next one to go. Saw a lot of people asking for her (social media pinch of salt required) in the comments back to the 7th May deadline announcements too, so not convinced it’s going to go down as badly this time.
Just don’t think the support holds up 3 years regardless, even labour will steady the ship before then.
I just don’t get how people who were staples of social, economical and political failure aren’t so ashamed of themselves that they want to disappear from the public eye.
Even worse when they’re joining a party that is so staunchly anti immigration whilst also being in government at a time when immigration exploded and small boats became a problem.
I reckon this backfires for Reform.
It’s basically just the ERG lot giving it a second go after they totally fucked it the first time.
My ‘generous’ interpretation of Reform’s UK strategy is that of outside wanting ‘experience’ (Which is suspect as their experience is being absolute failures). This is purely aimed at damaging the Tories which voters will lose their nerve and congregate around Reform eventually. If we notice these press conferences are more about how the Tories suck than what Labour are doing.
There is potential in that idea but problems all over the place though, one of their USP’s was their authenticity (in people’s eyes at least) in being anti-establishment. If I was in their shoes I would’ve done the ‘May 7th deadline’ (I don’t even think Farage will even keep this promise btw) the other way around. Smash them then do a MAGA style take over of the right-wing.
Electorally I don’t think this changes much. But I’ll be interested to see their polling in a years time. If they’re still averaging near 30% they will be in good shape.
It will be interesting to see whether the individuals defecting from the Tories will hurt the Tories or help them.
I wonder if getting rid of these scumbags will actually help the Tories.
It certainly makes it easier for Badenoch to sell the idea of a changed and improved Tory party.
Reform are becoming the turquoise Tories which is not a good thing for them IMO.
What they have going for them is absolutely no one except wealthy boomers are going to vote for the Tories ever again. They are finished IMO. The biggest, oldest, richest party who have been in power more than anyone had 14 years of near universal power and managed to piss absolutely everyone off. Left minded people because of austerity and right minded people because of mass immigration. And personally I still think there’s a lot of people in this country who just might not be able to see a black woman as PM.
Labour might get in again, it’s a question basically of how many people hate Starmer vs how many people hate Farage. And there are a hell of a lot of people on both sides
That was sort of what I was speculating about. It also makes it easier for a more moderate / One Nation Conservative in the future to lead the party.
I don’t think the Tories are as finished as they looked after the GE.
A Conservative Party that looks competent is always a massive force in a British election. A Tory Party that looks qualified to lead obliterates this Labour government in a GE if they can convince the electorate that’s what they are.
This is what I’ve been saying for a while.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see someone like Tom Tugendhat get a much more prominent role soon and maybe someone like Ben Wallace to come back from retirement.
Overall net positive for the Tories.
Jenrick, Braverman etc. are totally tainted and unelectable.
