Reform UK

If the ERG all fuck off the Tories can be the ones to start the ball rolling with closer EU ties and a re-entry to the Customs Union :eyes:

Vote winner!!

I’ve met Tugendhat on several occasions. He is a very impressive campaigner and very good with the public. He has the military record going for him too and a good record in foreign affairs. The Tories would be insane not to promote him to the top tier.

I can see One Nation types running the Tories again but I feel this would put us in the same cycle we was in before. They will appeal to right-wingers, right-wingers begin their incursion and drag them all over the place.

Also I don’t fucking like them anyway.

It should do because the Tory MP’s that are moving over to Reform are loose cannons, so the more of them that leave, the more respectable the Tories will seem.

But the big problem for both of these parties in the next election is that they will split the vote again, which will only help Labour.

True. But we will be back there eventually. Britain is fundamentally a (small c) conservative country. That’s one of the reasons it’s such an awful society. I think that’s why the modern history of the UK is one of Conservative governments interspersed with Labour whenever the country gets too fed up of them and they eat themselves with corruption.

The problem is that plutocracy is dead and I don’t think any Tory will want to change this system.

They will continue to want to keep us as US slaves. And eventually this will lead to discord as it is a dying system.

So they might get short term results just because of the brand but it’s all heading the wrong way.

I think Britain is a country of delusionals that is burning through too much to keep up appearances.

They have done this for over a century.

And so like you said we will be back here as we will only vote for those who will want to keep up these appearances

Yeah I’ve been a fan of his since his first bid to lead the Tory party.

His social media game has been on point recently, and his analysis of the Iran situation is very impressive.

I think it’s inevitable that he makes it to the top tier sooner rather than later, and I would not be surprised if he ends up chosen to lead if the Tories oust Kemi before the GE.

Right now he seems destined for a Foreign Sec/Home Sec role.

I reiterate, no one but wealthy boomers and Xers most of whom live in the remaining Tory strongholds are voting for them again. It’s mad to think but the boomers are actually getting old and dying off now, which means the Tories are dying off. Wealthy people have been leaving Britain in droves.

To most young and black and Muslim people, voting Tory is like voting for the fucking Nazis. They are finished. They had 14 years and enraged everyone with public sector cuts, Brexit and mass immigration.

I am convinced they are finished. Cameron was a good leader but he fucked himself calling a Brexit referendum which he assumed he would win. May was boring but sensible. Boris is an absolute twat and Truss and Sunak never seemed to want the job.

I’m pretty convinced the Tories are dead.

Labour have the young vote, the metropolitan trendy vote and the ethnic vote.

Reform have working and middle class whites who are pissed off.

It comes down to who hates Starmer or Farage more and who turns out on election day. That’s it

Yeah agreed - Patel should be shipped off to Reform tout suite.

She’s a vote loser for the Tories.

I don’t want to be too dismissive, but you saying that that’s it doesn’t change the fact that that isn’t it.

A strong Conservative Party always has a chance and they’ll be back in power at some point. It might not be in this parliament but parties recover.

The Lib Dems were finished after the coalition but they pretty much restored their former position eventually.

The Lib Dems position? They’re nothing

If the Tories were serious about making a comeback, which they very well could do being as at least a third of the population despise Starmer and labour, they would have installed Jenrick as leader not a Nigerian woman. Hold their hands up say yeah we fcked up Brexit, austerity and mass immigration but we’re going to steady the ship. ā€œThis timeā€

They had fourteen years! Not even the cap doffing, yes M’Lord no M’lord British electorate is that stupid.

Maybe but the youth of Britain are less right wing than ever. And why wouldn’t they he? The British right have only fucked us harder and harder the whole time we have been alive.

The Tories of course are loved by the unproductive landlord triple lock class. But as they die off, it may be harder to capture the generation of student loans, brexit and Boriswave screwing their jobs.

Will be interesting to see where they go and who if anyone appeals to them.

Trump got a landslide by appealing to them before the Zionists got his Epstein tapes out and his agenda changed, and he is now very unpopular.

Big win for Reform lol

I think I might disagree with literally everything you said there, so we might have to accept our differences on this one :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I don’t think you should underestimate the ability of the Conservatives to come back like cockroaches and convince people to either vote against their own interests or stay away from the polls altogether. (I probably fall into the latter camp thanks to Labour if the other parties don’t rule out working with them)
