Agree with having it in a sandwich, but adding mint sauce is just madness! Apple sauce for me!

Don’t need to. Just change your username to TheCocktor or remind you that you’ll never have the legacy of a true OA legend like Mr Rhymes Julius and you’ll go off and sulk for a bit :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

@Leper ā€œooh that’s meā€.

Never tried apple sauce. That sounds wholesome. Gammon cob/bread roll on St George’s. Inspired

Really fancy gammon and pease pudding now.

Give it a go…an excellent traditional accompaniment with pork. Goes really well. That said, you would only need one of the pineapple or the apple sauce…not sure you can really have both.

I think there is a lot of salty Gammon about, so you may be in luck. Compared with other meat prices, Gammon has remained relatively cheap. You can keep your pease pudding though…that’s the devils work!

It’s much better homemade than out of a tin. I can’t even be in the same room of the tinned stuff. Yuk.

I’ve never tried a homemade version but after trying some out of a tin, I’m not brave enough to give it a second chance.

Nothing a good soak/simmer can’t solve.

Really…always find that it’s still salty…what’s your secret?

Do it longer. Double the time if you need to.

I’ve always thought best way was part boil, and then roast in the oven with a sweet glaze?

Yep, still is.

Are we edging towards this combination on pizza here?

I have come to realise that European far right parties don’t actually want to stop refugees and immigrants coming to Europe.

They know if they did actually control immigration, nobody would vote for their awful parties. They need discord to sustain themselves.

It’s why it is usually the centre left parties that are actually most competent and efficient at stopping uncontrolled migration. E.g. labour here and in Denmark.

Lol Bastani puts a bit much on it but the core point is true

Potential downward stream migrants/refugees doesn’t mean should should accept evil regimes though. The problem with the West is excessive empathy more than anything and a failure to exercise economic leverage.

All makes sense really.

If for whatever reason the borders were closed to all but UK and Irish passport holders tomorrow Nigel’s grift would be fucked and he’d never get the chance to get elected to resolve the problem he’s spent years creating.

The thinking is probably more like this: ā€œEvilā€ regime overthrown → Now a safe country → Send them back. I believe Germany has been trying to speed up sending back Syrians since the fall of Assad for example?

Farage has ā€œcommittedā€ to not accepting any Iranian refugees, saying they should be housed in the middle east.

Which, while on this. I never seen this discussed yet. Ain’t it interesting the conversation is about how amazing the Iranian people are? Until they come seeking refuge that appraisal will inevitably disappear?
