If we’re mentioning Ballon d’or (arbitrary tbh) then Sevchenko needs to be on this list.

Yeah, I rate him far above Lewandowski for example.

Probably even over Benzema really. Shevchenko was immense during his prime.

I’d comfortably put Eto’o and Shevchenko ahead of Lewandowski.

Why is Pavel Nedved not on that list?

Because it’s a shit list

Just there to trigger people. Best off ignored. Saw Paddy languishing in the low 20s and knew these people don’t know ball.

Yeah, wanted to mention Eto’o earlier.

I rate him over Lewa and and Benzema easily, and, while some might dissagree, over Ibra too.

That guy was an absolute utter menace during his Barca days. Scored tons of goals, scored tons of huge goals, scored all kinds of goals… Was making goals for himself and others, while doing tons of defensive and dirty work.

A good shout too.

Not just the Ballon d’Or. He was ridiculously consistent and played on world class/elite level for Juve up until they got relegated.
I’d have him over KDB easily.

More Premier League players could be on there as well, Lampard? Gerrard?

Agreed. Thinking about 21st century form, Beckham just about sneaks in as well.

The lack of fullbacks is getting to me. No Ashley Cole?

Damn, yeah.

Stop looking at it! Doing us all no good

No one from the Inter treble team is on the list either.

I’m picking it to pieces :joy:

Eh I’ve always thought Modric was mad overrated. Is he good? Yea sure. He isn’t one of the best to ever play the game for me.

I absolutely cannot stand Ronaldo, but I’m simply not having Mbappe above him.

Don’t bother mentioning the World Cup etc cos I really don’t care, nobody can convince me to have it.

You can’t stand R9?!?

Doh, totally missed Cristiano at number 2 somehow, then blasphemously saw “Ronaldo” and thought of Cristiano before the original, and thought that they’d put him in at 9. Obviously I have no issues with OG Ronnie.

Long day. Time for bed lol

Wickle wickle.

I’m a Modric fan and over the years I’ve been converted but honestly his longevity is surely where much of his legend comes from. Much of his individual accolades have coincides with Real Madrid’s success in the CL but when he was in his physical prime he was absolutely never considered on the level of Xavi or Iniesta. That both of them were finished and he’s still considered a key figure in his late 30s is surely where much of his greatness comes from.

Zidane, Kaka, Xavi, Iniesta all belong above him on any great player list and I don’t think it’s particularly close when looking at pure talent.

Modric did win a Ballon d’Or when up against Ronaldo and Messi.

He got Croatia to a World Cup final which is almost as good as winning the thing given the size of the country, and then followed it up with a semi-final appearance 4 years later.
