Tried the pseudo-intellectual, leftist route a few years ago and people didn’t buy it. Now it seems he’s on a crusade to get a job on GB News with all this guff and his other comments recently about how white, middle aged men are an endangered species in football broadcasting.
Failing a GB News gig, I’m sure he must have a podcast that he’s hoping the anti-woke brigade will subscribe to.
All feels rather transparent on his part, but the nature of social media and the news these days means he’s basically guaranteed to get the reaction he wants. As is often the case, the best thing would be for everyone to just total ignore him and deny him the oxygen of publicity.
Working in Turkey many years ago I used to visit a friend’s apartment overlooking Adanaspor’s ground, long before it was the stadium they have today. Never mind the football, it was an all out goon show. Easily THE most unruly crowd I’ve seen in my life. Full on baton charges by the police, dogs, the lot.
