Always like Harry (no, really), we both grew up on an estate in East London surrounded by West Ham fans. There were two Gooners in my year at school. Maybe that’s why I always enjoyed away games more. It felt right being out-numbered.
Getting the tube home from West Ham games was weird though. The only fella in red and white on the Eastbound platform at Upton Park. More than once I walked home from that away fixture to Barking, which felt even weirder.

I remember having pre-drinks back at Uni before a night out, and Mahrez must have scored in the Championship highlights show. He was on my radar from then.

Totally agree. This is when I completely lost faith in Wenger. Missing out on these two signings was unforgivable IMO.
Imagine Mahrez, Sanchez and Ozil in that team, with Kante behind. They’d create 1000 chances and Giroud would have scored 3 of them.

Looking back, it was an absolute disgrace! We should have built upon the Ozil and Alexis signings and gone on to win the league!
