Oh shit. I hope she’s winning.
I am ok.
Just wondering why golf isn’t high up on the forum
If you don’t mind me asking. Is there light at the end of the tunnel?
so glad to see you, i hope you are coping ok…was worried about you
Who would have been the better player if they’d had a normal fitness record?
- Abou Diaby
- Jack Wilshere
Diaby was inconsistent and I’m not convinced he shakes that off. Wilshere easily.
Undoubtedly Wilshere for me.
He was on an upward trajectory throughout his first season. He was majestic in the pre-season of next season, just before he had to undergo surgery.
If he was allowed to keep the momentum going, I am sure he would have been a magnificient player.
Chose Diaby but I’m totally biased.
If Wilshere wasn’t pulled back by injuries, I have no doubt he would’ve been a Top 5 midfielder in Europe for a few good years.
Wilshere was withouth a doubt a generational talent.
The quality he had as a 18/19 year old throughout 2010/11 is something very rare to see, even to this day.
Was so sad seeing him in those few seasons after the injury being unable to get back to his best, constantly getting a new injury every time it seemed he was close to some good shape. Never really got close to his old form. Maybe at one point during 2013/14, I remember that brace against Villa… It almost seemed he had that burst of pace back (that was his peak physical shape post injury), but then got injured again and it just went downhill.
I’ve personally never bought into the Diabt myth. Think it’s one of those things that grown exponentially over the years. Frustrating player who was tactically very suspect and ultimately just a very inconsistent player. Someone who could give you a spectacular game where he dominated physically but you got way more games where he was completely clueless and ineffective.
Wilshere was a special special talent. The performances in his early days were so rare for someone his age and he showed a fearlessness and maturity in midfield that was was beyond his years. His biggest downfall was his bravery because he has no issues carrying the ball and got himself into some really tough situations. Injuries ruined him and we never got to see his true potential.
Diaby is more a case of the injuries turned him into a legend and he was treated like some kind of solution to our midfield problem when he was part of the midfield problem.
Even that match against Liverpool. Its overblown.
Exactly how I remember it. For every Liverpool game he had a lot of shockers where he was anonymous.
Big time. People always point to that game as some of indication of how good he could have been that was a once a season game from him against a really really poor Liverpool side.
It was just a once in a season game for him that otherwise you’d never get.
Has to be Wilshere. That game against Barcelona he was phenomenol. Even had Xavi and Iniesta singing his praises.
Any good? Never had one before
Decent. I’ve never had more than two of them before
It’s fine, but I prefer Hells.
Also think Camden Town Brewery worked well from a “brand synergy” perspective, with it starting out as a local brewery in North London (I assume it’s long since been sold to one of the big alcohol corporations and is almost certainly brewed elsewhere now). It just felt like a partnership that made sense, even down to the Camden Town Brewery branding being predominantly red and white.
But ultimately, who really gives a fuck as long as the beer on offer is drinkable?
Excellent news.
