Every time Raheem has done well, itās been at a stable club. Chelsea is the outlier, not the example.

If Sterlings helps us win the title over City, this is probably the best outcome he would have hoped for 2 weeks ago.

If we do win the title, beating Chelsea home and away, perhaps it should be us thanking them.

Itās weird to say but while being a top finisher is a fantastic quality to have for forwards, itās not the be-all and end-all.
Positioning and awareness are more important, add to that a top physical profile and youāre bound to be a top forward.
Not learned their lesson from Havertz I see
And we havenāt ātakenā him. Theyāre literally paying the guts of 200,000 a week for him to play for us.

For sure, which is why I think Nunez gets an overly bad rep. Needs to work on his finishing and decisions but heās incredible at the rest.
Iām happy with the sterling deal btw I think weāll see more like half/60% of his city production depending how many games he gets.

Sterling is essentially playing for his career at the top level with this loan. Heās surely going to be going as hard as he can. Iām not sure that was really true of his time at Chelsea.

I would speculate that Edu & team planned this out to perfection since mid August.
They saw Sterling outcasted and devised a plan to go all the way to the wire to get the best wage structure and loan fee.
This transfer must have been in the works since mid-August or even earlier.

This deal really sums up what plastic clubs are all about. Money. Imagine being a fan of Chelsea and seeing your club send a quality player (at least he was, not sure about the 2024 edition of Sterling yet) to your biggest rivals. On loan and keep on paying the majority of his wages
