Any time anyone on the internet posts that photo we get an Alex Hleb interview about how he regrets leaving Arsenal.
Nah, I think you guys are unnecessarily scared.
Zero faith in your club even with a 3-0 lead, thatās really sad to see.
The only thing Iām concerned about is the refās track record with red cards and pens.
Answered yourself.
Given how things went this year, I wonāt be surprised.
Let me remind you about our luck this season
- Merino signed and a day later broke his arm
- Rice sent off for a nudge
- Trossard sent off for a 50-50 challenge
- MLS sent off for something no one gets sent off for.
- Ben White, Tomiyasu, Havertz, Saka, Jesus all unavailable for a lengthy period.
- One time City fuck up, we still come second.
- and now Gabriel, our player of the season, unavailable for most critical set of matches of the season.
I get the nervousness, I feel it as well. But I do think itās a bit silly not to be confident that weāre going through.
Definitely in the nervous camp, rather than thinking itās going to be a dumpster fire. Weāre not the soft, naive defensive side we used to be in this competition, thereās little reason to think we canāt ride out the storm.
We need to play the game not the occasion! I think we will get a result
That video is the answer to the question āWhat does Gary Neville sound like when heās having an orgasm?ā
My favourite Henry goal. Left three Galaticos on the floor.
Had a dream we won this 2-1
Finding it exceptionally hard to focus on work today. Wish I could just fast forward 9 hours.
Itād be so much easier if i didnāt have access to my phone. Envious of @Calum rn
I miss the heady days of 2018 on a day like this aswell sham
I hear you and agree for the most part, but I do feel that weāre using luck too much as a crutch for poor planning from the club for 3 transfer windows.
Remember, the club had money to spent in January and decided to do nothing.
On the individual points you mention:
- Gabriel layered into Merino in training, I guess it is unlucky but do we feel like Merino wouldāve contributed in a huge fashion back then? Heās not great in midfield imo and Arteta wouldāve never played him as a 9 ahead of Jesus/Havertz despite arguably being more clinical than both.
- Rice, Trossard and MLS situations, I agree entirely; but itās not luck. PGMOL have a long history of vendetta against Arsenal. Itās funny how these issues happen after Arteta made comments + the ādisgraciaā court hearing.
- Ben White had been playing with a broken X for months, and would actively hide it from Arteta/medical team so he can keep playing.
- Tomiyasu is Tomiyasu
- Havertz and Saka had been run into the ground for 2 seasons straight
- Jesus is Jesus.
- On the City thing, I genuinely believe itās because we failed to get a striker/winger options to capitalise.
Look at our defence, itās imperious and we havenāt lost a game of football in almost 2 whole months.
Tonight is a one-off game, where we have a 3 goal advantage. Iāve criticised Kiwior to filth at times, but his record when starting games is sensational.
Madrid are going to need to commit HUGE numbers to their attack to break us up, which is going to leave them massively exposed at the back for a counter attack.
If we get even 1 goal, then Madrid will need to score 5. I simply canāt see that happening, even if we got 1 red card.
Have faith, the team will pull through tonight! Iām sure Arteta is giving them the team talk of his life today.
Madrid can close the roof and be loud if they want. But Iām convinced our guys will handle it.
Weāll probs lose the game, but will win the tie!
Finding it so difficult to concentrate today. I just need it over and done with, whatever the result.
Iāve just eaten three Cadbury creme eggs in a row with my lunch.
Worried.
About 5 hours away from a nervous poo
Seven hours en 17 minutes remaining.
Somewhere your dentist is having an anxiety attack
Thatās sugar overload!
