Having a full team and trying the best and get 5th is totally different from loads of injuries and being easy in the league and concentrate on cup games then get 5th.

If it was between the two, City all the way.
City’s ongoing case is a bigger threat for them than a slip to EL for the first time in god knows how long.
If anything, EL next year means they’ll have an easier time managing their squad in the PL next season. Despite how bad it’s gone this season, I do expect them to be competing for the PL again once their players are back fit again, and it does sounds like they’ll have yet another busy transfer window.
Chelsea’s project hinges on making CL. Let them rot…
