And now a penalty for the cunts.
Marmoush is excellente
Gonna be some pressure on if we lose tomorrow
i wanted us to sign him so bad, why did we let those scumbags get him
Because sesko is our boy!!
You know, that guy who’s still 5 goals behind Marmoush in the bundesliga…
You know we’re that predictable and it’ll happen.
Prepared to wait until the end of the season but yet again I think serious questions need to be asked about the mentality of this club.
Forest closing in on us
At least Brighton got an equaliser. City are the ones who worry me, can easily get on their usual roll and win every game left.
Forest will have the odd random slip which should be enough to keep them behind us.
Been ages since we won in the league ourselves, we can’t come third in a two horse race though, spurs will have a field day.
Not a big fan of Sesko myself but I’m not exactly sad we missed out on Marmoush, especially for what City ended up paying.
They didn’t pay that much
True, just 80m.
in total? I dont remember them paying that for the fee
City have agreed on a €80 million (£67.1m/$82m) fee , out of which they will pay €75m (£63m/$77m) upfront and €5m in add-ons
Marmoush is on a hefty wage as well.
still would have been worth it considering it seems now youth players are going for £50m. We always seem to miss out on top talents. Arsenal scouting seem to be bloody blind at times.
Sesko gonna cost us £50m so not sure the relative value isn’t almost the same tbh.
the upfront amount already made us take him off from the target list
80m in EUR/USD is very different to £80m though. He wasn’t really that expensive considering the going rate for players of that ilk.
The bigger issue was the huge upfront fee rather than the total package.
Marmoush isn’t a lone striker, he’s really a second striker. He isn’t like a KDB type who can truly become a third midfielder either.
Fair to criticize our system but he doesn’t have a role and even for City there’s going to be a long term cost of committing to that kind of player.
Think we could’ve used him out left though, isn’t that what they’ve been doing as well?
