I agree.
I’ve got them to finish third because Howe was arguably the best manager in the PL last season, considering the squad he had available and the lack of any top quality players.
With the signings he’s made, there’s no reason Newcastle can’t repeat their CL place from last season.
They’ve got Man City next so it’ll be interesting to see how they do.
Newcastle looked confident throughout. They got caught out by some quality play at times, but ultimately they were able to punish some almost suicidal defending as the game went on.
Villa looked like Liverpool from a couple of seasons ago - hold a high line and keep running forward in hope of a breakthrough, which was surprising. I had expected more.
Will watch it tomorrow.
The overall feedback I’ve got online and chatting to friends/family is that Arsenal were not good enough today, our transfer window has been awful, Havertz is awful, Partey is awful, Nketiah is awful, Arteta is awful and has to find a way to fix the team, we’re doomed and we’re probably gonna be relegated.
I’m tipping him as a potential POTS candidate if he stays fit this season.
Had a brilliant record (in terms of goals per minutes) last season already, just needs to stay fit. An incredible talent. Wanted him here while (or even before) we were being linked to Vlahovic.
in the 50s when bronze age legend Gunnar Nordahl got (checks wiki) 210 goals in 247 games for AC Milan, the greatest AC Milan striker of all time probably most likely certainly maybe definitely.
The likes of Zlatan, Solskjær and Laudrup are all frauds.
Would you have said there was no need to push him if it was Sean Dyche or Pep? Not being funny, just wonder if we treat older people differently, like in a “aw but it’s Roy”…
