Newcastle, imo

Quite close, not much difference in the end I think.

@Stroller what’s this I hear about financial irregularities at Everton? It’s apparently just as bad as Man City historically and they’re never docked points.

Newcastle, for sure.

Yes people didn’t much of a chance to Arsenal, but they certainly didn’t expect them in the Top 4.

I believe most expected them to perhaps have a go at the ECL spot at best.

Also, we did have people in our fanbase who believed the team would do well, perhaps not lead the table for so long but be 3rd or 4th. Even internally the club was pretty confident they will get Top 4 this time around.

I would be extremely surprised if anyone at Newcastle thought they’d be 3rd with a game to go, and arguably the 3rd best team in England this season.

Been going on since the end of last season that one.
Think you’ll find Usmanov enforced removal the cause of a lot of the mess going on here.
It likely gets worse if they go down. Think those in charge will delay and won’t damage the PL product.
Out of sight and teams tend to lose that deflection.

We did overachieve. Going from 7 years out the top4 to fighting the best team in the world for the league with near enough the same team is an overachievement lol

@RockyMaivia

I’m afraid I must also object.

To have that username and then that avi is messing with my head.

Hmm I don’t know. This is essentially Top 4 + No Trophy which is basic objective accomplished in my view.

We were in a title race which is fair to offer in context as a positive, but so is the collapse we’ve experienced as well.

Decent season but I don’t think we achieved anything. Or maybe I should say, we haven’t massively achieved or anything like that.

Edit: I thought of something else

Newcastle had a better strain imho. If we took city to the last day, I would’ve given it to us.

Newcastle also got to a final and could’ve got a trophy.

How spursian

We need to rid the overachieve talk tbh, it’s all part of loser mentality and we need standards to be high and getting 80-85 points has to be seen as expectation from now on.

Also yeah from next season forward it is likely the top 5 will get CL football in the new format for 24/25 isn’t it ?

If we finish second next year nobody will talk about it being an over achievement. We’re only seeing talk like that now because nobody saw a title challenge happening in a million years, let alone us being in first place for literally 90+% of the season.

Expectations have already shifted for next season compared to the one just gone, massively.

Arsenal fans are like Neo when Morpheus says “he’s beginning to believe” rn

Mental you needed to actually explain this lol

Brighton v City tonight. Fucking annoying that this was supposed to have been a game of hope for us.
Still feels raw seeing the fixture today.

I think I’ll be even more pissed off if City end up losing the game.

They wouldn’t if it mattered though. Will still be nice if we can close that gap even though it’s kinda meaningless.

I’m still annoyed about our collapse. Gifted it to them.
