Yup, he has held his own against new signings. Most thought he would be a casualty in this new Newcastle era but he has been active so far.

So we robbed Madrid, not Newcastle.
£20-25m isn’t particularly much in today’s market.
Willock was 21 at the time and was the guy that pretty much kept them up in that loan of his. He was their primary target that summer and has turned out very useful for Howe.
Last Year after 27 games, Arsenal had 51 points with +12 GD. Not bad
but the consistency this year is amazing.
Arsenal finished with 69 points last year after 38 games and this year we have 66 points after only 27 games. Even if we go by the same standard (which was quite poor at the end of last season), Arsenal will finish with 84 points which is great and anyone would have taken it at the start of this season.
But we must aim for the big prize.

Nope we robbed Newcastle and Madrid, willock was never a 25m player. Had 3 month purple patch that he’s yet to replicate and dat English tax.

21 year old English players go for that rate so I don’t know what you are talking about.
Crystal Palace bought Marc Guéhi for 23m euros whose career at that point was confined to Championship while Willock was playing for Arsenal & Newcastle in Premier League.

Newcastle fans seem big on Willock so £25m seems a good price for him.

If he replicated that he would be worth 100m now.
Not when they’re sold by arsenal they dont, Liverpool get such fees for trash like solanke but I don’t know anyone who thought willock at 25m wasn’t a good deal for us at the time.
Willock was dogshit for us, had a 3 month spell and got us a great fee. This season he’s got something like 2 goals and 3 assists in 24 apps so certainly nothing special.
Guess I’m in the minority on it but surprised at anyone who thinks it wasn’t a great fee for us.
He wasn’t.
It was a great fee given our history but something we should get for someone of his profile.
It definitely isn’t just Twitter.
