Pre-2000s Football

Forgot about him completely being a Barcelona player.

Thanks for the tag mate or I’d have missed this

I think he got fucked about by Juve and couldn’t really take over from Platini.
Actually thinking about it again, he was screwed by the two foreigner rule at the time

How did we lose number tens from the game?

My guess is when the game started to demand more defensive duties from pretty much all offensive players.

But good question.

Over training from a young age, coaching has probably become too tactical, could be many things. Do kids even play street football these days?

Problem is when kids get signed to academy football, they cant play football for anyone else. No playing for joy or expression of themselves.

Football is cyclical anyway there was a time 4-4-2 was obsolete now over the last few years it’s become more popular as a formation again.

4-3-3 back in fashion as the main formation now but few years back everyone played 4-2-3-1 with a #10. It’ll be back just not where football tactics are at right now.

Same. Had it on the N64. Editing the England squad to add Matt Le Tissier and Ian Wright. Good times

His performance at Old Tartford in the 2-3 win in 2000 is stand-out.

Was that Lehmann on the goal?
(just checked, he played 5 games for Milan that season, most likely it was him :bellend: )

That’s Jens.

Not the first indirect free kick in the box. This one from Shearer was a year earlier
