Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

It is June 2021, we believe Aubameyang and the Champions are closer than ever to an agreement and a contract extension.
Mikel Arteta is confident that the two parties will continue working together next season.

So…this what they were actually doing.

Is it just me, or does anyone else doesn’t have any attachments to any player in the current squad. Back in the day, I just loved Henry, Cesc, RvP, and would have hated to see them go for any amount. But in the case of Auba, if we could get someone to give us 60m+ and we can replace him with a younger striker that’s almost as capable, I think that’s a good deal for the club for the long term. The current squad seem a lot more like mercenaries to me than most of Wenger’s signings.

Besides, even with Auba, we finished 8th. If the rest of the squad would be better, the midfield would produce more chances, I think you could do with a slightly less accomplished striker. Maybe the likes of Martinelli are not quite ready, but there should be some gems out there to be had.

That said, of course, it’s essential that Auba signs, otherwise we might lose him on a free next season.

I think most of us have cone to terms with football nowadays.
There are some current players I don’t want to sell but at the end of the day everyone has a price.
Only one thing matters, Arsenal.

I feel like this just in general with the club at the moment. I think the Wenger departure left it’s mark on me, a man who brought us nothing but purity and joy turned into a living nightmare and then you wake up and Emery’s standing over your bed ready to show the nightmare can always get worse.

At the end of the day a football club is for the fans, and Arsenal hasn’t felt like it’s been trying to build success for the fans in like 10 years. Which is a long ass time. I feel like Arteta’s charm, charisma and ambition will not only change that but he’ll bring about some form of unifying success. At the same time though if the hierarchy of the club doesn’t back him then we’ll just repeat the last 10 years where we find ourselves in some strange footballing purgatory.

The players you named were world class players that developed at Arsenal and are synonymous with the club.

I would class Auba with players like Cazorla who came to Arsenal as finished products but are adored by the fanbase.

Wilshere was that for me, even when he wasn’t playing. Felt surreal selling him…

AUBAAAAAA

I despise all the Gazidis late Wenger buys because they remind me of that bald bastard.

Love the Hale end boys though. Make Arsenal worth following.

Birthday boy is a troll.

If only.

“This week” as in “this week” or “this week” as in “last week” or “the week before” or “the week before that”?
