There were some rumors about Lautaro Martinez leaving for Barcelona. In that case they would need a replacement.
Do they play with 2 strikers up front?
I donāt see Auba leaving us where heās first choice to go and be a back up striker for a team that could be argued to be a sideways move.
Yes. Conte plays 3-5-2. I expect Inter to play for the title next season. And in the CL. Short term itās a step up really.
I think if he signs Auba itās more an indication of him going 3-4-3 at this stage. With Auba on the left.
Whatās the situation with Icardi?
That wouldnāt make sense imo. Not on the pitch nor financially. But they have done a lot of good business lately. Couple of howlers are incoming.
@sevchenko not sure where Icardi will play next season but it wonāt be at Inter.
Either way if we lose him next season is going to be unbearable.
Heās a bang average right winger anyways.
Ā£70m and he can go
Elec is staying on this hill and heās not moving for anyone
But those kind of assessments never include was it means for the team as a whole he is right.
Heās been at PSG for almost a year now
Really want us to keep Auba
But this current climate might force us to sell, even at a cut priceā¦
In the event that we lose Auba what do you guys say to us making a play for somoene like Cavani on a free? Could perhaps be a good stop gap firing us into the CL and allow us to season Martinelli.
Been injured last season but before that his fitness was good, would likely turn his nose up at us though.
Iād have loved Cavani a few years ago but would still certainly be interested in someone like him or Mertens who are consistent goal scoring threats.
Hard to see us replacing Aubaās goals tbh. Heās top scorer in the premier league right? Unless we spend big money it seems stupid
But with one year remaining on his contract Arsenal will sell him if he doesnāt extend.
We cant replace his goals because the fee we get for him wonāt cover another elite striker.
No.
We badly need a whole new better midfield, and wingers that can produce better on the final third.
That has to be the priority no matter what. Eddie and Martinelli might not be the best ST options but they are fine-ish for now.
With a better midfield, they could be even better.
Hopefully weāre looking at Edouard and not Rodrigo.
@SDGooner I see no way that Icardi isnāt staying at PSG? Heās done well, and theyāre probably the ones least/even most positively affected by this crisis.
With no top striker we arent doing jack in the league.
Neither Gabi or Eddie are good enought right now and itās no sure thing they will be, improving midfield means little if you donāt have a killer up top.
As opposed to the amazing feats we achieved this season?
