I only know of Niles Crane throwing a basketball from the half way line, so I can only guess that basketball is a bigger deal in Seattle than you’re letting on

The ‘thunder’ deserve everything that’s happened to them amirite

You ever go to a Sounders’ match? Or is MLS not your cup of tea?

On our way to town - when we were in Leipzig on our Eastern Europe road trip (Leipzig - Wroclaw - Warsaw - Vilnius - Poznan - Berlin - Dortmund and back to Amsterdam).

Thank you Cristo. All credit goes to my girlfriend as I used to dress much more “skater/rocknroll” before I met her. Now I wear shirts large hats (as in my previous images I posted here) and I am a good boy. :man_artist:t3:

Thanks mate

That’s a pretty fancy looking camera you got!

Why do Europeans always pull off casual chic so effortlessly? :bellcry: We’ve never managed to figure that out.

It’s an analog Canon A-1 - actually it used to be my dad’s camera.

How was the road trip? Did you enjoy it?

It was super nice - I can really recommend it.

Especially Poland surprised us a lot. Their cities, especially the centers are so beautiful. Warsaw was very cosmopolitan. Met people there from all over the world, studying, working and having fun. Polish people in Warsaw are quite open minded and liberal. In the villages and countryside it is a different story.

Wroclaw and Poznan have beautiful old towns.

Vilnius was beautiful as well and relatively cheap.

Leipzig was a beautiful city as well, Bach, Mendelssohn and Wagner all have close ties to the city and it showed in Leipzig’s classical architecture. I was pleasantly surprised by this city as well.

Berlin was the rebel and roughest from them all. We met up with some friends there and it was the proper party place (despite covid).

Sounds amazing, I’m really keen for a road trip like that with my girlfriend when the virus subsides.

Really want to see Poland and some of the other central/eastern European countries.

I really can recommend Poland. It is so much better than what we stereotypically assume about the place. Also, if you manage to go there, try and visit Gdansk (Danzig). It’s really beautiful too. And of course Krakow.

The Baltics are all nice, but a little on the boring side. Vilnius is nice for a weekend getaway. Cheap alcohol, beautiful old town and good food. Not surprisingly, I heard quite a few British around me when I was there.

Prague, of course the classic destination. But, Budapest is also really interesting and beautiful.

I realise I use the word beautiful a lot in describing these places, but that is what they are.

And of course, come to Amsterdam, so I can show you around the most beautiful city in the world :sunglasses:

Wow that is beautiful!

Looks reminiscent of Copenhagen and Stockholm.

Yeah I really need to check out Poland, I’m sold!

I do love Copenhagen. Have been twice. Lovely place.

Stockholm I have been once, but I did not like the people there at all.

Agreed, spot on. Awful, nasty people. Mean, arrogant, smelly.

I wish I was able to enjoy Poland but the history there, combined with my own family’s history of fleeing Poland, left me feeling pretty angry the whole trip. My wife really wants to go but I don’t really want to go back there.

I would love to visit Germany though. Berlin especially. It’s supposed to be a hipster haven!
