I’m sure it will take a bit of time, but I’m sure she will settle with you. So pleased for you. I really miss having a dog myself. Miss having that soul-mate alongside me. Be great to see some more photos.

I had two wonderful dogs before and now having my third.

Canine has very good senses.
My first dog lost her hearing in her last two years…
My second dog had partial hearing loss in her final year…

Still, when we speak, they just don’t listen to the sound, but also your tone, your facial expression, your body language, your eye contact, your aura…
They have been with you for their whole lives, they understand you a lot even if you don’t speak.

Talking to them (even if they cannot hear) is not just placing an order, but a “communication” and maintaining the bonding in between you and them.

Took the big boy for a day of sightseeing in London.

How do you find it? Sounds fucking silly but I keep meaning to go visit my brother there and I think I’d like a weekend without having to drive , so would use the train.

I just think I’d end up stopping every few minutes because there’s be too many people and my 10 month lab would just want to sniff every fucker.

You know what I take him up there on the train and he’s got exceptional train manners (minus spread his body the width of the carriage) but he’s good on trains so that’s the easiest part of the journey tbh.

Being out and doing the sightseeing is good he enjoys the long walks it’s just the attention he gets sometimes can be a little annoying because not everyone understands you can’t just randomly go for a dogs face because they won’t like it.

But I couldn’t imagine doing this with him when he was 10 months old he would have been too hyper and with all the busy energy around he’d have kept getting distracted and I think it would have been a nightmare.

But he’s nearly 4 so he’s well behaved now

Yeah the attention thing is annoying, I’m not ever a dick about it but I do find it frustrating how people will go to stroke , come in from the front and then go for the neck area then wonder why the dog may act skittish.

Think you’ve answered my question though, he’s chill as fuck but still think it might be too soon :joy:

Your boy looks glorious though, having a nose aswell :joy:

We had a presidential election here a couple of weeks back and the polling station is the local school. No vote for Chester but he does get to break this rule.
