Football fans will see the plainest possible version of a shirt and absolutely froth lol

That says something about fans feelings about the current strategy with merchandise. Overloading them with unusual designs that desperately try to tap in our culture without really understanding who we are and what matters.

If adidas cared it would give us 1 yellow away or third kit every year. They constantly seem to not get us, take our recent blue/purple/red “retro” shirt. Yes, it looks like something we might have worn in the 80s, but if they’d just re-released the simple, beautiful yellow/navy away top from 88/91 the “Anfield shirt” they would have sold millions of them.

I think fans are tired of having the traditional colours being messed about with so when a simple take on an old classic is revealed it gets kit buyers and collectors very excited.

Predominantly white shirts should be avoided right?

I have mixed feelings on that. White was our traditional away colours until the end of the 60s. We’d often turn out in white shirts and red shorts.

So next season’s white and maroon number is a genuine heritage thing, but, white is Spurs these days and I don’t even buy white England shirts for that reason. So I can’t definitely answer your question.

DC Fontaines have designed and sponsored Bohemian’s away kit for next season. It’s a banger. Great band too.

So are Sporting gonna release a CR7 kit every season now? The guy played like 30 games for them in total.
