If weāre about to sell Elneny (mistake, heās clearly happy enough here at present), I can only surmise our attempts to clear out any of our deadwood (hate that phrase) have stalled and weāre getting desperate in our quest to trim the numbers.
Maybe Wengerās clearing a path for Chamberlain

If they bought Carvalho theyād have zero mobility in their midfield Herrera aside. Theyād be pretty physical I suppose.
Doubt weāre struggling to clear off Gibbs and Chambers since there have already been bids for them. Just a question of playing the negotiating game and getting good fees. For Wilshere I should think there will be a buyer too, may have to wait a bit longer to get that sorted considering he might not want to leave England. (But it does seem Wenger has given up on him, doesnāt it?)
If Elneny is actually leavingāmind that the source is ArsenalFanTVāitās probably simply because heās seen how little Wenger used him last season and wants to go somewhere where heāll play more.

Topo has moved on to bigger and better things. It was an obvious progression, you might say, even if one might feel he has sold out a bit, trading mainstream relevance for lesser creative freedom and brilliance.

I think I read that WBA pulled out of the Gibbs deal because Pulis deemed him too expensive
Meh, I feel like there will always be another WBA type to snatch him up before the window closes.
If West Ham dont come in for Wiltshire and/or Gibbs before the end of the window Iāll be supprised
So if we keep Alexis, where does he fit in? Canāt really see us making such a strong pursuit for a player and paying Ā£45m just to have him not part of the first-team XI. I wonder if ArsĆØne will use him as an 8 occasionally to get him more games?/if this is the reason heās not pursuing other CMs?
