Nice.

Now just need to hope he’s not joining Liverpool

I’d be shocked if Liverpool bought him given the combination of fee and wage demands.

They were willing to go huge for Caicedo but his wages were very reasonable. Wirtz will want to be payed right up there with Salah and VVD, like 400k per week.

Honestly, I’m not sure City are wrong here. Wirtz is a great talent but you look at his production and it doesn’t really stand out from a lot of other wingers, second strikers, or attacking midfielders in the Bundesliga through the years. Nkunku and Sancho both were more productive. This isn’t Haaland where its a once in a generation type player and you know he will be a beast.

Bayerns desperate ass

Doesn’t even make sense because they’ve got Musiala you won’t get the best out of both IMO

I didn’t even know Musiala signed a new deal in Feb

This guy is usually pretty reliable on City news I think, confirming the report. City must be putting this out deliberately.

On the lookout for some speculation this means they know they are getting punished

That’s a laughable fee

Kid was poorly served by his agent

300m euros lol the worlds (Bayer Leverkusen) gone mad

Selling team are within their right to set the price.

If it really is 300M that just means they aren’t interested in selling him

That fee will include wages too over the length of the proposed contract, not just the transfer fee

Tbf, that’s inclusive of everything.
Haaland’s deal wasn’t much different. It involved release clause of 60m but the whole package was gonna cost whoever signed him 300-400m.

I reckon they’re briefing its about cost but they’ve been rejected.

Whatever the reason it’s fantastic news.

Don’t see him being half as useful to Liverpool and obviously going to Bayern hardly affects us until we draw them yet again in the CL.

If we’re not in for him then as long as city aren’t I’m good.

Even if you were to put him on ÂŁ400k per week with a decent signing on fee, that still values the transfer fee at around ÂŁ200m which is pretty wild. (Assuming 5 year contract in calcs)

Is he worth 2x Rodrygos (in transfer fees and ongoing wages)?

A 400k per week contract in pounds is equivalent to 25m per year euros, a 5-6 year deal then costs you 125-150m euros in wages, then Leverkusen are asking for 125-150m in a transfer fee and there will be some kind of big agent fee as well so you can get to 300m euro pretty easily.

Wonder if that means they’ll go for Eze

Gibbs-White seems like the strongest link.

Either way, massive downgrade from KDB. Replacing world class players is hard.

Was it you @Trion that was big on him before he moved to Al-Ahli?

Clever signing this, free too.
