Other Clubs' Transfers

I still don’t understand the market for Mason Mount. He’s not a footballer. He’s a world class pair of lungs.

Gallagher, is a weird one though. He looked so good running the show at Palace. Maybe that’s his level. But Palace aren’t going to come back for him at 30m are they?

I guess Clearlake/Boehly could try to play hardball with buyers but what are they going to do? Just not register some of these guys and pay them to sit around in London?

Tbh what Gallagher did at Palace is pretty much Mounts calling card

He’s the boy band version of Mount

Thought his deal is up this summer but looks like he still has another year

More expensive than Martinez? Interesting

Martinez was a backup goalkeeper who got a lucky break during the last part of 19/20.

Raya has been Brentford number 1 for years and one of their best players

Haha. That is one narrative.
Another could be that Martinez took his chance to prove that not only is he better than being a backup goalkeeper, but also good enough to win his teams - an FA cup, a Copa America and THE World cup.
Very few keepers have contributed to a tournament win as much as Martinez has.
Emi Marinez has been one of the best players for Arsenal, Aston Villa & Argentina for 3 seasons now.

definitely carried crybaby Messi to his first nt trophy at the twilight of his career after having about 9362 attempts at one. And heading that goal in for us in that 4-2 (?) win, he is a living legend tbh his reputation knows no bounds

Im Emi over Leno for sure but a key difference here is we are talking pre-transfer standing of Raya and Emi and Emi did two of those things after he got the move. At the time of his move he’d only done the FA Cup thing and despite him being great, it was a pretty small sample size at the time.

I reread @Calum post and realized he was talking about Emi at the time of transfer, not in his current form.

I don’t get where this confidence of an early move is coming from. If anything, Brighton have proven tough negotiators. They won’t let go of him very easily.

Dealing with Brighton is simple. They tell you how much they want and if you pay it you get the player. If they tell you he isn’t for sale then he’s definitely not for sale.

They could be looking at near £300m income this summer if they cash in on the three in form players there. Absolutely mental.

Make a cheeky bid for him?

I wouldn’t but I reckon they’ll find it tough to move him on.

Not that he’s a bad footballer but Sadio will naturally be incredibly picky if he were to leave so soon and then there’s the money aspect to consider too.

Think he’ll end up in Italy.

Yeah, that’s the only destination I see too.
A loan to Italy makes sense.
