Letās hope he learned from those mistakes and applies it to Zinchenko this time around. Could help us salvage the tie at Bayern.
Can anybody answer why this plonker was trying to meg opposition players just outside our box? If that shot goes in, heās back to crying during the crunch time in the title race.

Too much personality. Heās like a ball dominant guard in basketball.
Zinchenko clearly has more technical ability on the ball than most defenders but his problem is he often gets carried away and takes stupid risks cause he thinks he can pull it off.

TBF most defenders arenāt midfielders cosplaying fullback. Heās not a defender, I donāt think heās ever been a defender. Heās a way to cram an extra creative player into a XI which is fine when it works but I think weāve seen it run its course this season starting with Fulham at home.

I mean, Timber will need some time to get back to his best I would imagine.
I know people might be tired of it but we are already short in defence but weāve been lucky with how durable White, Saliba and Gabriel have been.
Next year weāll have more matches in Europe which should also be taken into consideration.
And in the case we win the CL, thatās even more matches to account for, having to play in the Club World Cup.

The Diomande links always seem to be there. Could be bollocks but there seems to be too much smoke. Hato for LB? Ajax will want serious money for him and is he really the right player at the right time for us?
A good point that was made on the Arsecast was that Arteta has geared the team to be risk adverse this season, playing four CBās at times (for various reasons). To still have Zinchenko, who is very pro-risk, still seems to catch the glint in Mikelās eye. He canāt not play him if he thinks heās fit, like some weird addiction.
The annoying thing I canāt get my head around is he is thought of, by default, as an LB at Arsenal. We could certainly ārepurposeā him back to a position where heās naturally comfortable in, at AM, where he could infill a number of roles (left-8 or Ćdeās alternate). Buy a serious LB, sorted.

Camavinga is my dream signing currently but itās unlikely.
I donāt follow Ajax closely but from what Iāve seen from Hato, he does remind me of Cama with jis aggression, how limber he is and how be drives forward.
I know weāve been linked with Gutierrez but heās too attacking oriented a la Zinny. Iād actually like someone who can do it all a la Timber/White.
Lisandro if he wasnāt crock wouldāve been a baller here but it looks like we dodged a bullet.
Left back market is tricky because anyone whoās good is either mainly strong defensively or offensively, and anyone whoās balanced is mediocre.
How much would the likes of Camavinga cost? ~north of Ā£100m?

Probably. Take into account, Camavinga can play pretty much every position there is, lol.
I would be open to extending Jorginho for another year or retaining Partey if we get Camavinga.
Weāve got 4 if you include timber who should really be backing up Saliba.
Itās a clear position to fill, starting LB and make the rest backups.
Defence is the area that I think we are covered. Saliba, Gabriel, White, Tomiyasu, Timber, Kiwior are all good enough to be here and most can play more than one position. We also have Rice able to play cb.
We are most certainly not covered in defense. We have no idea how Timber will return from his injury. Hopefully heās fine, heās very young. Tomiyasu, for all his qualities, cannot be relied on. He canāt play three times a week. Maybe he could play three times a month.
Zinchenko should either go this summer or get moved up a line to compete for that left eight spot. We need an actual leftback to play there. Maybe a LB/LCB or a fullback specialist who prefers the left, but I donāt think we can ignore the issue this summer.
