Oleksandr Zinchenko (17)

I would welcome this signing. He’s a tidy player.

Yeah, let us chuck 60m on Gvardiol or Cucurella.

A head of hair like that is priceless imo. Handsome guy like that could command any fee.

Like the deal. Sounds like one of the meerkats off the advert though.

Am a fan of this. Can do a solid job at LB, LWB and CM.

Maybe he can beat out Zinchenko, or maybe not but it’s a big shame it progressing this way for KT.

Good for depth and the 11 though

Football is harsh tbh. If you can’t keep fit and you are a key player you need phased into a rotation player

this deal sounds like a zin for us

Actually I like this rumour more than Martinez tbf. We absolutely need a quality cover for Tierney, but Martinez is a CB primarily, doesn’t offer so much as a LB, especially for that price.

A guy like Zinchenko really gives us a quality option and you can be quite relaxed about our back 4 now. We have 3 quality CBs for two positions, as for RB, if Tomi is out we can play White or Saliba there (or maybe even :bellend: ), we still have two quality CBs and an attacking LB on the other side.
A very good signing if we pull it off.

I actually feel like signing Zinchenko could easily be the best thing for Tierney’s Arsenal career.

Both are at the age they should be fighting tooth and nail to lay claim to a starting spot at a big EPL club. With the 5 sub rule both will get more than enough opportunity to impress even if that’s from the bench, as you’d probably want to bring either on regardless of seeing out a lead or chasing a goal.

Zinchenko can play MF, Tierney is assured at LCB, you might even see them feature in the same team a lot depending on how Arteta decides to tinker in game.

It’s an interesting move for me, but more so an intelligent one for what our team dynamic needs.

Hopefully it’s one we land.

Tierney won’t be available for half the games anyway, so this signing makes a shit load of sense.

Olek the sand R this rumor. As Luke said; sounds like a zin. Chenks all the right boxes. O yes please! :pray:t3:

…still working on my punnery. :man_shrugging:t3:

They also signed Vieira and Sylvinho (albeit not from Arsenal) and had Stuart Taylor and Richard Wright as their third choice GKs for a while too.

Ah Sylvinho I loved him as a player shame about his dodgy passport, I always wonder if it wasn’t for that whether Ashley Cole would have got a look in

That window would be very good all things considering, only thing missing would be signing a quality wide forward.

In saying that, we’re miles away from having that sort of window… you’re talking another 3 signings and the season is only 3 weeks away.

We need a 2001 style window to compete with last season’s top 4.

The way the tap-in merchant covers this, City want to move for Cucurella in case Zinchenko leaves. Interesting…
So there is some urgency I guess from City’s side to sell him then.
