Oleksandr Zinchenko (17)

He definitely hesitated making the subs and I’m not sure Kiwior was the right move. I really expected it to be Tierney.

I’m not turning on him but Zinc and maybe he should have taken off earlier but he should be embarrassed getting done on that second goal

He was I think. Btw where was the next defender and why was Nunez unmarked like that.
Every aspect avoidable. Too easy.

Arteta probably kicking himself also as Tierney literally came on a few seconds to late

For all his ability in the build up and transition I’m never fully comfortable with him defending

It’s not natural for him and it shows quite regularly

He is great at driving forward and building up, but defensively he has been found out too many times.

Yesterday was one of those days were Liverpool ran. It led around him and he had no idea anymore what was happening defensively

Did Tierney fare better than him? They created that massive chance with Konate after Tierney came on and Tierney completely lost Konate in that situation.

He didn’t get hall of shame nutmegged to allow an 87th min equaliser so that’s something.

Appreciate he was somewhat fallible at Anfield, but I think it has been understated how much we missed him at West Ham.
We were basically left with being one man down in terms of a creative presence going forward to the extent that I think this affected Ødegaard since more attention could be drawn towards him. Also one less outlet when attacking the final third. He can create that unpredictable spark going forward, and without that, we looked pretty tepid.

Big miss today. With Holding and Tierney playing we lose a lot of ball progression. I am wishing his groin a speedy recovery.

This guy is so patchy during the game. Has moments where he can’t pass worth a damn or defend anything. He’s fortunate he’s got this fancy role that everyone is in love with.

Hin, Partey and Vieira in the midfield were a mess in midfield. One of the few times in recent years I wished Xhaka was available.

What the fuck was he doing at the back post. Zero awareness. Really disappointing.

I worry about him controlling his emotions at City tbh.

First time he’s really been useless on the ball. Don’t mind him getting caught out on occasion at the back (rarely turns to a goal unless his legs are wide open) but when he’s not effective going forward he’s useless.

That shit when we went 2 down and he was trying to gather everyone up. Nobody was fucking listening to him. :skull:

Not everything has to be a fucking Rocky motivational speech ffs. Hin and Jesus are supposedly the leaders that came from City. They’re showing zero leadership at the minute.

Eh, it’s not like Odegaard was gonna do it. Love the guy but he’s been Patrick fucking Swayze the last three matches.

Look at him, lmao. Embarrassing the lot of them for that. You need a fucking huddle to play like you need to against Southampton at home.

Really infuriating considering what followed.

In both games this season he’s been poor against them, I expect nothing less

They know how to get to him

Tbh rather he did that than just fucking heads down like we’ve seen for 15 years.
