Some Danish families have the tradition that the birthday child gets the head and when you cut the head off you have to scream your head off 
And yes, Lord Bendtner is punching but he’s still managed to retain his “serious celeb” status level in Denmark so isn’t seen as as much of a joke as in the UK. Also being really really rich has probably helped.
